What Is LogFormat?
LogFormat is a type of malware that targets Mac computers, specifically those running macOS. This malicious software can infect a system through various means, such as phishing emails, malicious websites, or software downloads. Once installed on a Mac, LogFormat can gather sensitive information from the infected computer, including login credentials, personal data, and browsing history. This information can then be used for identity theft, financial fraud, or other malicious activities.
LogFormat is designed to operate stealthily on a Mac computer, making it difficult for users to detect its presence. The malware can run in the background, logging keystrokes, capturing screenshots, and recording audio and video without the user’s knowledge. This can result in serious privacy breaches and compromise the security of the infected system. To protect against LogFormat and other malware, Mac users should be cautious when clicking on links or downloading files from unknown sources, keep their operating system and security software up to date, and regularly scan their computer for any signs of infection.
