What Is Newtab.review?
If the New Tab Page of your Chrome browser have been changed recently without your participation – the word “Google” disappeared from the page, and links below the search bar are not for your most visited sites anymore, then you have a browser hijacker on your PC. Browser hijackers can change browsers’ homepage, default search engine, etc., to make users repeatedly visit certain sites, bringing more ad revenue for site owners. This browser hijacker alters your default search engine to Chromesearch.club, and as the look of the New Tab Page on Chrome can change depending on the default search, the New Tab Page gets altered too. You may notice that clicking on links on the New Tab page makes https://newtab.review/click.php to appear briefly in the address bar, before redirecting you to the site where that link is supposed to lead. Newtab.review hijacker can be hard to delete, as it makes changes in Windows Group Policy of the infected computer, so that users cannot easily remove it. You may follow instructions below to reset Group Policy and remove Newtab.review new tab and Chromesearch.club search engine from your browser.
