Robotcaptcha7.info in particular tells users that they need to click Allow on its “Show notifications” pop-up box if they want to prove that they are humans and not robots. If a user allows Robotcaptcha7.info to show notifications, he or she will soon start seeing those notifications in the bottom right corner of the screen if it’s a Windows computer, in the top right corner of the screen if it’s a Macbook, or on the lockscreen if it’s an Android device. Robotcaptcha7.info notifications will spam users with ads, links to shady sites, prompts to download something, etc.

Browser notifications are little pop-ups with news and updates from sites that appear in the lower-right corner of the screen on Windows PCs, in the top-right corner of the screen on Macbooks, and on the lockscreen on smartphones. Important-update.online claims that users have to allow its notifications in order to access a page, play a video, solve a CAPTCHA, etc. If a user turns on notifications from Important-update.online, those will begin popping up time and again with ads, links to untrustworthy sites, software offers, etc.
News17.biz is a dubious website which tries to trick users into accepting its notifications request. News17.biz claims that users have to click or tap Allow on tis notifications confirmation pop-up box if they wish to open a page, verify that they are not robots, watch a video, etc. If a user clicks Allow, News17.biz notifications will begin popping up time and again in a corner of the screen. The notifications will advertise various shady and dubious sites, urge users to follow clickbait links or download suspicious software packages.
